Ohio ACTE Announcements

As the communicators for your schools, I wanted to share the following information and ask for your assistance in promoting these efforts. Please let me know if you have any questions or any ideas on how to more effectively promote these programs.

Ohio ACTE Career Technical Educator Awards
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2008 Ohio ACTE/ACTE Awards. Please visit
www.ohioacte.org/Awards08.html for an overview of the program and nomination instructions. There are so many deserving CT educators, please help identify those that deserve special recognition by submitting a nomination.
The nominations process has been simplified!
Deadline for nominations is March 28, 2008


Ohio ACTE All-Ohio Conference – August 6-8, 2008
Proposals are now being accepted. Proposal Deadline is January 4, 2008

ACTE launches two new blogs

If you visit the National ACTE website you will see that they have launched two new blogs via Wordpress (see link in 11.27.07 post). One blog is a temporary blog, which will be written by Jody Koenigseker from R.G. Drage Career Center in Massillon, Ohio, where she is a career assessment specialist. She will be blogging about her experiences, thoughts, and observations at the National ACTE Conference in Las Vegas. This is a great way to use a blog.
The other blog they launched is for Guidance and Career Development. Here are the links to both of these blogs if you wish to share them with your staffs:
